Stiffkey is a picturesque coastal village that follows the chalk bed River Stiffkey, and is located on the North Norfolk coast. A few minutes walk from the village takes you to the National Trust maintained Stiffkey Marshes having paths leading out to an expanse of low tide beach.
The coastal path then leads to Stiffkey 'Freshers' popular with bird watchers, and then on to Morston Quay, with it's many sailing craft including a little fleet of 'Stiffkey Cockler' sailing dinghies and seal trip charter boats taking tourists out to the Blakeney Point seal colony.
Stiffkey is a village made up of lovely Norfolk flint cottages with their pantile roofs, and hidden sunny gardens to sit and relax in. There is a very popular village pub, The Red Lion, which offers great food in relaxed surroundings. The Stiffkey Stores and Deli, is a real treat, as it has a sunny courtyard where one can sit for a while with coffee, cake and newspaper.
